Recruiters: Commit to the Community in the New Year

Posted by Kathleen Smith

With 2020 just beginning, many of us are looking to improve some part of our life or commit to something important in the New Year. Many will opt to eat healthier, exercise, and save money, but there is something else you can do for your own personal fulfillment and your professional community. While we’ve talked a lot about the benefits of volunteering from a candidate perspective, employers and talent acquisition professionals have much to gain too. Being active in the cyber security community is a great way to build your employer brand, understand your key market and gather ground intel, and develop a pipeline of hard to find talent.

If you’re interested in giving back to the community and getting more involved, join us at one of the conferences we’re attending as we lead resume reviews and career coaching. These volunteer positions provide opportunities to build your network and find out what’s going on in the community, while enjoying the feeling of accomplishment that makes volunteering fulfilling.
